December 28, 1948. The Douglas DC-3 NC16002 lifts off from San Juan carrying thirty-two souls toward Miami. It is an ordinary flight, the sort that had already been completed countless times before. The weather is calm. The aircraft is performing normally. The lights of Florida are almost within reach. There is no reason for anyone aboard to believe they are participating in one of aviation's most enduring mysteries!
Then the radio begins to crackle.
The crew reports nothing alarming, only that communications have become weak. A final, fragmented transmission follows. Somewhere within the static comes a strange mention of an unfamiliar cube seen briefly inside the cabin. It is confusing, almost dismissive, as though no one aboard fully understands what they have witnessed. Then silence. The aircraft vanishes with land nearly in sight. No distress call. No confirmed wreckage. No explanation that has managed to satisfy investigators in the nearly eighty years since.

According to the recovered fragments, the mysterious purple CUBE did not simply appear aboard the aircraft. Flight NC16002 quickly became one of the standout stars of this summer's High Strangeness, Bermuda Triangle Edition Advent Calendar. The response was immediate. Why is Preshave Soap BETTER Than Preshave Oil?
Well first off, as with anything in life, it all comes down to personal preference. I can tell you why I think it's better, but in the end, do what works for you! First off, unlike using oil, a Preshave Soap will not gunk up your gear and rinses away easy.
I was seriously turned off by all the clean up involved when using oils. Plus I was always concerned about it getting into my favorite brushes undetected and going rancid. Also, applying oil with your hands then holding onto a blade is not the safest move in my book. [That said, if you currently use an oil, apply it with your non-shaver hand!] In short, Preshave Oils inspired me to find a better way!
