Cologne

Cologne type scents fall into the "classics" category and can include fragrances with many scent notes but they all have that "cologne" type fragrance.  It is easier to define a cologne type by what it is not. It is not novelty, or overly sweet or gourmand.  Many of the barbershop type fragrances fall into this category as well as many of the original cologne fragrances such as 4711.
